Obtain a Report

The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department Records Unit is located in the lobby of Police Headquarters at 700 Minnesota Ave.

Copies of of criminal offense reports may be obtained either on-line or in person.

IN PERSON

You may obtain a printed copy of an offense report by visiting our Records Unit located in the lobby of police headquarters. The Records Unit is open during regular business hours of 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday. They are closed on holidays.

FEE: The initial five pages of reports are provided at no cost. Each additional page is charged at a rate of 25 cents per page.

 

ON LINE

By clicking the button below, you may request and receive an offense report. Please, locate your report number before starting. If you do not have the report number, it is ok, we will just need to ask a few additional questions in order to locate your report.

By clicking the button below, you may request and receive a private property accident report. Please, locate your accident report number before starting. If you do not have the report number, it is ok, we will just need to ask a few additional questions in order to locate your report.

ON LINE - PUBLIC STREET ACCIDENT

By clicking the button below, you may access and download reports online for accidents that occurred on a city street.

Driving records can be purchased from the Records Unit in the lobby of police headquarters. You must present your driver's license in person and pay a $6.00 fee.

Criminal background checks containing only conviction information can be purchased from the Records Unit in the lobby of police headquarters.  You must present valid identification and pay an $11.00 fee.
